Excellent watch which I bought to replace my old CWC from 1995. The CWC has served me well over nearly 15 years of deployment as a cameraman in some really challenging locations. I bought two models at the time and both the CWC models still run but they are looking tired. Why did I switch? Well I guess firstly I figured restoring the CWC's would destroy the memories that the scratches and damage hold for me and secondly would be costly even if CWC would do it and when I called they did not seem interested. When I spoke to MWC they put me in touch with their service people who serviced both watches and got them running so I thought I would give the MWC models a try this time around. Another factor was I wanted something automatic but current spec which CWC don't make. I opted for a G10 and an XL diver so pretty much what I had from CWC but both auto instead of quartz. I am pleased with both watches which look great and I recommend getting the optional rubber strap which MWC offer for the divers watches but check they can be suplied with spring lugs because my buddy has an MWC diver with fixed lugs. Hopefully the G10 and XL diver will do me 15 years like the CWC quartz but time will tell although the case quality looks much the same as the CWC on both and I accept the movements will need a service from time to time but I guess that is no big deal. I guess that sums it up but I am pleased with both watches and also with MWC servicing my old CWC watches even before I made a buying decision. I thought that was a helpful thing and influenced my decision to buy from them. My friend has an old Seamaster Omega and that is also going off to MWC for a service at a much cheaper price than the factory. No more to say really except thanks to Karla and Richard in Zurich for all the time on the phone and the advice generally.
